Holding

The court held that a holographic will executed under Mexican law in 1846, though unsigned by the testator and attested by only two witnesses, was valid where the testator lacked literacy and the instrument was certified by the local alcalde. The court further held that a sale of estate property by one of two named co-executors, acting under the testator’s express grant of full power, was valid and conveyed good title to a bona fide purchaser.
