Morrison v. Bowman

Supreme Court of California

Holding
The court held that a deed executed by an attorney-in-fact during his principal’s final illness, without the principal’s knowledge or consent and for a consideration that was never paid, was fraudulent and void ab initio, and that subsequent transactions founded upon this void deed—including a compromise agreement and a release executed by the executrix—could not confer valid title upon the grantee.
