Holding
The court held that a provision in a will purporting to redirect the proceeds of a life insurance policy to a new beneficiary is ineffective where the insured, having reserved the right to change the beneficiary, failed to comply with the policy's specific change-of-beneficiary procedures during his lifetime, and where the originally named beneficiary's interest vested immediately upon the insured's death.
